COVID-19 Social Dist-Dance Videos

Position: Freelance Marketing Consultant

Description: At the beginning of the pandemic, Brebeuf Jesuit’s marketing department conceptualized two fun, lighthearted videos to share with the wider school community. The goal was to spread some joy in an otherwise scary, uncertain time, and when I worked for Brebeuf in a freelance capacity, I had the privilege of editing these two videos together.


Brebeuf Jesuit Social Dist-Dancing

The first, which we titled “Brebeuf Jesuit Social Dist-Dancing,” featured Brebeuf teachers, staff, and administration dancing by themselves, with their families, and/or with their pets. All of them shared their dance videos with us, and we compiled the footage into one video.

A Social Dist-dance Off - Ellis vs. Klingler

Our audience loved the first video so much that we had to do another, and thus, the “Social Dist-dance Off: Ellis vs. Klingler” came to be! Aaron Ellis of the Science Department and Nick Klingler of the Community Service Office went head-to-head in a Napoleon-Dynamite-inspired dance competition, and they absolutely crushed it. Students were invited to vote for their favorite performance.
